💳 BILT Rent Day is Tomorrow (March 1st)
BILT has announced the offers for their March Rent Day (i.e., March 1st). Here’s what you can expect:
If you have the BILT credit card, on March 1st, you can earn double the points you usually earn on all categories except rent:
Dining: 6x points per dollar
Travel: 4x points per dollar
Everything else (except rent): 2x points per dollar
Hilton Transfer Bonus: Up to 200% depending on your BILT status.
Blue status: 150%
Silver / Gold / Platinum status: 200%
Rent Free game show: Head on over to your BILT app to play and win a chance to get your rent paid by BILT!
My thoughts: I value BILT points a lot and in my opinion, Hilton isn’t the best way to maximize the value of your BILT points. However, if you are short on Hilton points by a tiny bit and would like a top-off, this transfer bonus is a solid opportunity!
⏰ Reminder for Chase Freedom Flex / Freedom Cardholders
If you have the Chase Freedom Flex (or legacy Chase Freedom) card, remember to activate your 5% cashback when you make purchases at the following stores from January 1st to March 31st (valid for purchases up to $1,500):
Norwegian Cruise Line, Grocery Stores excluding Walmart and Target, Fitness Clubs & Gym Memberships, and Hair, Nails & Spa Services
I already got all of my 7,500 points by getting an annual fitness membership! This offer must be activated by March 14, 2025. You can activate it here.
🌴 Hyatt Updates Award Chart, Some Properties to Cost More Points
It’s that time of the year! Around this time every year, Hyatt announces the changes to its award categories. And by changes, I mean devaluations for the most part!
Many of the crowd favorite properties in Asia and Europe have climbed up one category which means that you will owe additional points than you used to for booking these properties.
One such property is the Hyatt Regency Tokyo that is going up from Category 4 to 5, meaning no more using Hyatt’s annual free night certificate (FNC) for this one. I had used two of my FNCs to book this back in 2023. I think we’ll need additional strategizing to make use of these FNCs as more and more properties change categories to become Cat. 5 and up.
Here’s the list of all properties changing categories this year.
🔔Tiny Updates
